Although modern fire and security systems may incorporate a high degree of monitoring, so that faults are indicated automatically the onus is still on human intervention to ensure that faults indicated on the systems are identified and resolved. It is therefore essential that systems are subject to periodic inspection and servicing so that unrevealed faults are indentified and preventative measures can be taken to ensure that continued reliability of the systems is maintained.

Periodic inspections and servicing needs to be carried out by a competent company with specialist knowledge of the fire or security system in accordance with current legislation; competency of fire and security companies can be measured and assured by a third-party certification schemes certified by UKAS such as NSI Gold for fire or NSI (NACOSS) Gold for security.

Members of our Engineering Management team meet with our clients to establish their requirements and gain an understanding of how the Service Level Agreement (SLA) supports business as normal operations. From this meeting, we compose a document of understanding with agreed SLA’s and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) that allow any service agreement to be monitored and managed in accordance with current UK and European Legislation.

All our maintenance and service calls are managed by our team of dedicated support personnel from head office using the latest in mobile and computerised technologies which provides a fully audited process of all support calls and maintenance visits. This allows audit trails of time on site, details of corrective action and sign off, which is then used to support the agreed KPI’s.
