NEWS OF THE BAFE SP 203 AWARD

 I am delighted to announce that Diamond Systems has recently been awarded the NSI Fire Gold Certificate of Approval for the Design, Installation, Commissioning, Handover, Verification and Maintenance of Fire Alarm and Detection Systems. NSI currently operate the only recognised third party certification scheme that fully complies with the requirements stated in BS5839 2002 the current British Standard for Fire Alarm Systems.
Diamond Systems is the first company in the province to be accredited with this prestigious approval. The NSI Fire Gold Certificate Scheme is a third party certification scheme as required in BS 5839: Part 1 2002. The approval awarded to Diamond Systems is in accordance with the requirements of : BS EN ISO 9001:2000, NSI FSQS 121, BS5839: Part 1:2002 and the British Approvals for Fire Equipment (BAFE) SP203 scheme.
Once again Diamond Systems has embraced the requirements of new standards or legislation by adopting a proactive approach on behave of our customers. The BAFE SP203 scheme is designed to help potential customers and other interested bodies select an experienced competent company to provide and or maintain life safety systems in their buildings. In the UK fire kills hundreds and injures thousands of people every year costing the economy around 7.5 billion per annum. Employing a BAFE SP203 accredited company helps provide evidence that the person responsible for the Life safety Systems has demonstrated reasonable care and attention in taking all necessary steps during the procurement of quality systems as recommended in the current British Standard.
