History

The company was established in 1988 by a former chairman of the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) with many years experience working as a Senior Manager within a large Multi-National Fire and Security organisation.  His aim was to fill the void between small local companies and large national organisations by providing a professional service at a competitive price.  This combination of quality, price and customer care made Diamond Electronic Systems Ltd one of the most respected companies in the industry.

From the outset, Diamond Electronic Systems Ltd has recognised  the value of a customer-based approach to building long term business relationships and partnerships that stand the test of time. The experience, skill and dedication of the management team generate confidence in the company’s ability to perform for customers in both the public and private sector. Focusing on these core principles has helped generate a reputation for successfully delivering even the most complex fire and security solutions on projects all over Ireland and throughout the UK.

Diamond Electronic Systems Ltd have always supported industry specific third party recognition schemes that provide potential new customers with an independent assessment of a company’s credentials; including adequate insurance cover, good financial standing and overall competence to perform. In 1989 Diamond received its first nationwide accreditation when accepted onto the Roll of the National Security Council for Intruder Alarms as an approved installer. Today the company maintains the highest level of industry accreditations including NSI Gold (NACOSS) for Security and Fire, Health and Safety (Safe-T-Cert) accreditation, Investors In People (IIP) and ISO9001:2008. The open door approach adopted by the company actively encourages audits by third party inspection bodies as an independent method to provide customers with assurances of competence. The methodology required to plan, deliver, monitor and improve performance to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction is a cornerstone of the company ethos.

An awareness of new technology combined with innovation and commitment to delivering best practice sustainable solutions has produced some notable successes including many industry firsts. In 1997 Diamond Electronic Systems Ltd successfully completed the first fully automated fire detection and phased voice evacuation system in Ireland. In 2000 we completed Europe’s first fully integrated fire, security and building management system and over the next decade have been involved in providing security solutions employing the latest IP technology.
